looking through the back window of Basha's first shop on Main Street in the early 80's you would see the mural in Crackerbarrel Alley..artists, eccentrics, holy fools, town characters would wander in and out of the shop, and many
afternoons were spent sitting on the flloor cross-
legged, on a Persian rug, eating a vegetarian meal prepared by
Basha, listening to music and indulging in
rambling philosophical rants(when we should have been working)..today it's a Dunkin Donuts..

Beautiful oriental rug and music! My grandfather had a stunning rug somewhat similar to this which he brought over to America from Ankara, Turkey. He was an ethnic Armenian. The rug was one of very few items that he brought with him. He placed it in his small living room in New Haven and then in Springfield. It was the centerpiece for comfort and relaxation with his family.
