@bejamjam personally i think they fall under their own genre of music but if you really wanted to classify they are probly a mix of metal, grunge, alternitive, but the band in general everyone thinks are like fucking gods! Even though they are fantastic they are not a "new era" ya know actually the band leader had to chase people off his lawn! If he saw your comment he would probably be realived to see someone thinks of tool as just a grunge or metal band
