This is number 9 in the Asexuality Top 10: The most common responses people give me when I say "I'm asexual." Instead of believing I'm telling the truth about having no sex drive, many people prefer to suggest one of these ten "better explanations." This video series is to address each of these common misconceptions.

Number 9: YOU CAN'T GET A MAN sarcastically discusses whether I indeed lack the qualities required to get a man and whether people who suggest this have a leg to stand on. (No, they don't.)

In the video I am eating Puffins Cereal with soy milk, a plate of edamame (soybeans) with salt, and a glass of water.

Being a victim of molestation (and one of the rare ones that didn't turn in to a molester myself), I'm freaking about and upset with pedophile type thoughts towards you-- bein' that you're such a tiny cute woman.

I'm really not following your comments. You're writing a lot of stuff about molestation having pushed you toward being asexual, which doesn't make any sense if you're also describing sexual attraction at the same time. Celibacy does not equal asexuality, so please do make sure it's straight in your mind.

That said, I'm not interested in cuddling or necking either. No ground rules needed, and no interest in making a man my dog. Thanks.

Just to clarify "how to get a man": in today's society all you have to have is a vagina and a willingness to have sex.. 400 pounds women can get laid on demand..a lot of men out there suffer from sexual desperation and will fuck anything that moves, "any port in a storm" as it were. The same isn't true for women because they hold the power of sexual selection in our society, they dont have to settle for less cause no matter how hideous they are they can find a man willing to lower his standards.

That is a good point, and very similar to what I was saying. If you really are absolutely desperate, there is someone who will lay you. Most of the people I have known or heard of who are sexually frustrated due to having no one to lay them are in that situation because they have standards. It'd be easier to lower my standards than pretend to be asexual and be all public about how I DON'T NEED ANY ANYWAY SO THERE!!! I like the phrase "any port in a storm." I might have to steal it from you.

Because, people don't make those just because they want to. Males wanting sex for sex is clearly people view as a common trait with men, and think it's something that will be popular.

Sure, everyone has high standards, but a huge amount of people's standards is being "pretty" and "willing."

Which is why you get so many girls lately obsessed with looks.

You're wrong. Men have very high standards for who'll they'll have sex with. That's why many women feel special when guys want to have sex with them.
