It's the time of year when the big prize for children's book illustration is announced, the Caldecott award! Here's a tune sung and strummed by author/artist Daniel Kirk about an illustrator's struggles to achieve fame and fortune and win that coveted prize. (The characters and events in the song are fictional, and any similarity to real persons, living or dead, is coincidental.)
