I don't think any of the songs were created seriously. I always thought they were just making fun of the radio but I guess some people really liked some of the songs and some of them were actually prrtty nice background music but i think it was all done for fun and come on they're all so cheesey.

@MrVmk all the music in the first few Gtas were created specifically for the game. Most of the artists didn't truely exist and some I know existed for a short time bit didn't really sound like they do on the soundtrack or used a fake name.
