hes using debug to play as sonic in knuckles level, and this is a later build of the game called sonic 3 : limited edition, hyper sonic got a better design, super tails was accessible with the chaos emeralds(hyper tails had the birds) no changes to knuckles, it used sonic 3's sound banks exclusively and had a medley after beating the game that used both sonic 3 and sonic and knuckles tracks

Thank you for the upload. I remember that incredible day when there was a huge beta rom dump at Hidden Palace. So many betas, so little time to see what the differences were in each game. Thanks for showing us the cool stuff in this beta.
And to the 4 people that disliked this video, they will all die alone in a ditch.

So for the sake of following the trend of the rest of these posters, I'm going to say this once and only once. I don't care that it's a beta - and therefore, some sprites are f'ed up. I don't care that metal sonic is just as f'ed up. I don't care that the game is hard enough without the sprites glitching up. I'm going to give you and this video a thumbs down because I've got nothing better to do with my sex-less life than troll.
