  • What company is this and who is Cojocaru dancing with? I love Onegin!

  • @9415908 Glad you like it. Thanks for the comment! Cojocaru is dancing with Filip Barankiewicz. There's no company performing the whole ballet - just this single piece performed in a gala by Cojocaru and Barankiewicz.

  • @TheBunduBallerina How come there's no company performing the whole ballet?

I know one: Staatsballet Berlin (Berlin State Berlin) has it in their program for this season. They'll dance it in May and June 2011

  • @tatiana10 I did not mean no company performs the whole ballet. I meant on this video it is only Cojocaru and Barankiewicz performing a part. This video is of a gala, not of a company performing the complete work. But yes, there are companies that do the complete ballet.

  • I just saw Filip Barankiewicz dancing Onegin's part in Prague, and he was amazing! All the other dancers were left in his shadow, he ruled the ballet. Fantastic dancer!

  • I LOOOOOVE this pdd. I saw her dance it live with RB in Covent Garden a few years ago when I was working there and I thought Johan K was gonna throw her off the stage into the orchestra pit on the lifts that swings around a full circle. The way she whips her leg around is gorgeous. The sequence that starts around 2:45 and finishes when he puts her down on the floor the last time one of my fav bits a ballet ever.

  • Many top companies do perform this ballet. I saw it for the first time in Stuttgart with Robert Tewsley and recently with Evan Mckie and felt quite a bit in love. You feel really pain for this character. So great.

  • this is one of my faveourite ballets ever :D

  • if she had a choice of partners why didnt she pick Evan McKie or Edward Watson? even though Barankievicz is sweet. I have seen her dance this amazing ballet with her husband Johan. She rocks my world.

  • this is a great ballet!, i love the last pas de deux more :)
