Extraction teams caused a lot of panic during this years May Day protests. Oakland Police sent large groups of officers into crowds of demonstrators. As many assumed, this type of police action created more problems then it solved. One "surgical arrest" would lead to panic, causing officers to arrest more people.
At one point there were there was at least 5 arrests taking place simultaneously, initiated after Oakland Police tackled a woman on a bicycle.
