Xander Harris // "I'm Still Here" [my story]

Story of my life: "I see more than anyone realizes because...nobody's watching me."

Above all, I've always been "the observer".

Out of every Buffy/Angel character ever, I've always related the most to Alexander Lavelle Harris. He was [to quote Cordelia] the lameness, the zeppo. He seemed too ordinary because, well, he wasn't like the rest of the guys: no superpowers, no exceptional talents, nothing. But in his lack of powers, he turned out to be the strongest. He had heart, he was the glue that held the Scooby Gang together. In the end, he didn't need any special powers at all to save the world, just love.

There was one time my best friend was miserable over something and there I was, telling jokes like I always do. And he laughed. His other friend who was there who had know him years before me turned to me and said, "Wow, I've never seen anyone make him laugh when he's that upset."

I've always thought that my friends wouldn't need me in the end, but when it comes down to it, they know I'm there to make them laugh no matter how bad things are.

Oh this is so gorgeous! I love Xander, and it seems everyone hates him because of that one episode (hells bells) Overall he's an amazing character and so sweet. Especially in season 7. This is a fantastic vid!

Bottom line what makes Xander amazing is the fact that he has no powers but he still fights. It's easy for guys like Spike and Angel to throw themselves in to the heat of the battle cause they are immortal. What are they really facing. Even Buffy in season 3 episode Helpless. She has to kill a vampire with nothing more then who she is. They make this big deal out of it but that's who Xander is every day.It's easy for Superman to fight cause he's invulnerable but would he be as brave if he didn't

This was a short, yet incredibly sweet and honest tribute to my man, the Xan! As much as I love Spike and Angel and wish I was as cool as them, as I began to watch the show and play with the character in the game more and more, I can see bits and pieces of me in Xander. He's the one that every guy can relate to because THEY ARE XANDER. I love Nicolas Brendon because of his flawless wit, humor, and wonderful smile. He is such a great and endearing character!
