  • @JettWorship65 thanks for noticing that!....I wasn't aware of the face so I went back and watched - sure enough, there it was!

  • were you out on I 90 the highway?

  • @dakotathein38 ...No, for the first 5:31 I was 10 miles north/northwest of Austin near Newry looking west.....after that I was in Austin looking North but very near I-90 - it's about 1/2 mile South of me!

  • HEYY!! MY B-DAY IS JUNE 17!!!!!

  • @fred0291 Hey, I should have noticed that the date of your event was something special. That same evening, my chase partner Doren Berge and I almost got munched by a wicked EF-2 that dropped down about 30 yards from our vehicle. This was outside Aurora, Nebraska. In fact, we've got the entire thing on video...and it's on youtube. Just keyword my name Joel Ewing. You'll get our 6-17-09 Nebraska vid, as well as a bitchen 6-9-05 N.W. Kansas tornado. Turn your volume wayyy up on the Neb. video. joel

  • @naderchaser thanks for the great comment!....it was a chance of a lifetime & I'm glad I got it on video - it was quite a rush - I edited out the parts where I was telling myself that "I should not be here"!...pretty funny thinking back on it now...fred

  • there sure are a lot of these june 17 austin tornado videos

  • Wow....fantastic video! Man, take a look at the neighbor's flag at around 5:32, as the main circulation comes overhead. The wind blows it in every direction...as air rushes into the meso. That flag even wrapped itself around the pole for an instant. Very cool. You guys were very, very lucky indeed. Thanks for posting! Joel in Tucson
