This is a project built a PIC microcontroller from Microchip. It uses a 555 timer to sense the water level in a cup. If it is too low, it turns on a pump to raise the water level. If it is too high, it shuts off the pump and allows the water to drain out. Information about the process can be monitored on a 2x16 LCD display.
