  • Whoever likes this is racist if u know it or not

  • @jjjkkkwhat

    Your perspective is too limited.

You should also note that there is a made up Irish tenor between them.

It was the style of the day, and even black performers wore blackface makeup.

MY point is: this is the only footage of Emmett Miller in existence, though he was famous for his band and "clarinet voice". We hear a little of that voice in the cat's howl.

  • racist, but black people really talk that way

  • ...maybe in your neighborhood.

  • Its hilarious. For all the angry minority people that cant stand when white people do anything that puts a smile on their face, just consider all that black humor on BET and all them white cheerleaders. Now Ill go back to laughing while you find another excuse to spoil our good times. Laugh Without Guilt, people.

  • Nonsense. This is typical of its era and you cannot change that. It IS part of history and in a musical sense an important one. I think most of us would feel uncomfortable with this kind of performance now but this was filmed then, and glad I am that it was.

  • Talented singer lol give me a break hitler was a talented speaker doesn't mean a thing

  • Stereotypes aint gonna hold you back if you wanna succeed . Irish, Poles, Jews, Indians, etc.. They all had to put up with alot of stereotyping . Guess what? They succeed all the same. You can never eliminate stereotypes from people unless you regulate everything they say till it turns out something that has nt any opinions and preferences.

  • made me laugh, but then again, I'm easily pleased, hahahahaHa

    greets from France.............merci

  • i love this man, i absolutely love him ... merci (from skorecki/jlnoames)

  • Miller performed country music with one of the greatest Jazz bands of the era, adopting a mongrel Blues-Hillbilly style originated by poor blacks, parodying the 18th and 19th century white elite, which in popular adaptation was turned to parody Black people.

Emmett Miller represents a fleeting intersection of all of these truly American influences that has never and will never be seen again. Black, White, Jazz, Country, Blues, Rich, Poor, Good, Evil, Right, Wrong, America, Emmett Miller.

  • I wish you people could see what a talented singer Emmitt Miller was... Without Emmitt Miller, who knows if Hank Williams would have ever had a career

HEY! GET SOME EMMITT MILLER SINGING ON HERE!!!
