Hilary Hahn, unglaublich......

reminds me of the korngold concerto. There is nothing at all that hahn can't do on the violin. this does not sound like an easy concerto to learn.

@hodgrix dumb remark.

@hodgrix I don't think so. the pairing isn't entirely random. if, for example, the tchaik were paired up with the schoenberg concerto it wouldn't work as well. the two pieces do complement eachother in a unique way, but also it does make sense commercially in the way you say. her programs were not random at all. often she chooses a new work, and and older one that shares some common ground or significant sensibilities but still offers contrast.

I'm terribly sorry for having posted and deleted comments repeatedly onto your video on that. (Some of those happened for technical bugs of youtube.)
Anyway, we cannot change our past, so I decided to keep it remaining.
All the best wishes for your future and best regards,

I got to see Hilary play Tchaikovsky in Portland, it was definitely in the top two concerts I've been to. I even got to meet her afterward, which was amazing. Her recordings really motivate me as a violin student.
