Binta is a 7 year old girl who lives in a small charming village on the Casamance river in southern Senegal. She goes to school. Her cousin Soda does not have the same good fortune. She is not allowed to learn about the things of the world.
Binta admires her father, a humble fisherman who, concerned about the development of mankind, is determined to carry out an idea that has occurred to him.
Filmmaker Notes
This is one of 5 short films in a series entitled En el Mundo a Cada Rato (Every So Often in the World). These films were made in collaboration with UNICEF in order to increase solidarity for the children in the third world. All of the profits will forever go to Unicef programs for children.

Short yet impactful. Wish the so called ' developed world' & the aspiring 'developing nations' can retrospect and see what they lost/loosing in the pursuit of 'development'.
