@Elite1987 Yes, I think I've got this figured out since I posted originally. I do enjoy eating paleo more so these days. I've gained the size I wanted. Woohoo!

@mindiramsey You can still follow a paleo diet and gain size, you just need to eat more carbs! Paleo diet can be modified anyway you want, just stay away from gluten and sugar. Fruit, sweet potatoes, potatoes, oatmeal veggies, rice etc! :

Unlearning all the mumbo-jumbo to which I have subjected myself in my diet has been a refreshing experience, Coach Abel and Weiss. I'm heading to the forums for some "carb rehab." I've been following a paleo/primal diet, and I'm definitely not gaining much (if any) muscular size...wonder why? :)

Calorie-controlled diet......................amen to that. It takes an excess to fuel fat gain, unless nature has now discovered a way to synthesize something from nothing.
Coach Abel,
Given that you and Coach Weiss have both crafted world-class physiques and aren't mere shills for supplements, do you have any specific guidelines as it pertains to peri-training nutrition (separate from not being carb-phobic 24/7)?
It's always interesting to hear how people who actually get results do things.
i am so glad to have found your videos! i'm no bodybuilder but just a fitness enthusiast. when i first started, i just made healthier choices and kept a good idea of my calorie intake while eating a balanced diet. while i wasn't so stressed out about it, i got to the best shape of my life. and then i started to stress out more and more and started to fear carbs. needless to say, i felt like SHIT. i don't want to feel like crap for the sake of looking great.

@methodBOB Method, thank you for your post. I receive many letters just like your all the time. So, you are not the only one who has gone down that road, believe me. Glad the clip made some sense for you then

That is, as opposed to those who talk about science this and science that or buy this and buy that yet show little real-world benefit from what they are trying to sell you on.
If this is covered in any of the resources for sale on your site, I will gladly look into that.
I'm specifically interested in whether you still do something "special" around training or if you are solely concerned about hitting a target from quality sources instead.

To answer the first question we beleive in "simplicity" for almost everyone. All this hype of timing once again, slots the people into the diet, rather than looking at what diet an individual may need.
Both my "Truth About Diet" MP3, and I beleive "The Science Behind the Cycle Diet" will give plenty of knowledge on diet-intracies
