Ted WILLIAMS was also a great champion and a winner. He was impassioned in his life.He was preserved like his son in the hope to return one day to the life. A big challenge, but it is better than to be buried or cremated. It was a pionner on his choices. Also,we believe that intelligence, memories & personality are determined primarily by the structure & chemistry of the human brain. Our aim is to preserve the brain so faithfully that its unique identity will also be preserved,so that future science may be able to revive the individual. We realize that this is highly speculative, but we feel that human life is sufficiently precious to justify our attempt, even thought the outcome is unknown.
Discover how leading-edge science at the Alcor Life Extension Foundation is getting closer to making the dream of a vastly extended lifespan come true and how our notion of "death" is shifting. This video included interviews with world-renowned scientists including Dr.Aubrey de Grey, Department of Genetics at the University of Cambridge, explaining how life can be cryopreserved on the verge of death and then revitalized, giving us a second chance at a long and productive life, and Dr. Ralph Merkle, Distinguished Professor of Computing at Georgia Tech, exploring how molecular-sized machines will be able to repair damage to your body from aging or the devastating effects of cancer and other illnesses, including frostbite.

  • They really need to start trying to bring back people.

As soon as someone comes back to life then interest in cryonics will skyrocket.

If I were to do this then I will be like after 300 years if you still havent brang me back or if it didnt work out then just bury me in the ground.

  • Wow this actually makes total sense to me but Why is Alcor so much more expensive then the Cryonics Institute? Isn't the founder of Cryonics at the much cryonics institue? 28,000$ vs 200,000$ thats a pretty big difference????

  • I think the idea is fascinating but I have two worries one if the person isn't brain dead is the person trapped in there own mind we can't even know if they are or not secondly what if it is possible in the future u are awaken u still have to die again so do u just repeat the process. Idk I say u don't have nothing to lose if u don't wake up fine u where gone anyway but if u do that would be amazing

  • did anyone catch that this chicks name is Regina Pancake lmao!!! 4:41

  • As crazy as it sounds the downside is small in comparison to a huge upside.

  • @DK0526The medical condition that I would suggest they are having is a case of extreme hypothermic metabolic & cardiac arrest. BTW people have awoken 100% from these conditions. I will give you 3 examples. Children frozen solid by accidental cold weather exposure or cold water drowning. Patients undergoing hypothermic neural surgery. Embryo implants stored at liquid nitrogen temperatures indefinately. Were the people in these 3 examples dead or just not actively alive? How is this any different?

  • @imnotsickimjustaboy The question is are they really dead and that will not be known until 100 yrs or so when nanotechnology is able to repair the molecular structure of these people and wake them up or not. If nanotech never does this then they are dead but if it does then they were just very sick. We shall have to wait and see what is physically possible and judge then. But to say they are dead now is premature unless you are judging by current standards which are sure to change later.

  • @DK0526 no it isnt unless you have a medial condition dead and frozen isnt classed as a medical condition. Go to 1:00 min in the video and they tell you it straight. EnjoY

  • @imnotsickimjustaboy Why not thats how the world works today? Doctors, drug companies, and hospitals sell us thier goods and services and we get to live 3 times the historical human life avg as a result.

  • sorry but in the future alcor will have to invent the way to reanimate people because the person who does isn't going to give it away to a company for self gain for there patients.
