  • If you added a few hides like maybe a few clay pots and rocks or drift wood, I'm sure you could add a few more fish. She looks lonely and I'm sure your plants would love the extra nitrogen.

  • @jcx420 The previous fish owner killed many a fish trying just that. This little girl lives up to her name! I tried an Oscar that was her size and she tore him up! I've a 45 she's probably going to go into when I want to get more fish for the 75.

  • That is a jack dempsey not a convict cichlid. Jack dempseys are probably the worst fish in the world for aquaponics. They are hyper aggressive. They dont even get along with their own species. Normally you want to keep heavy fish load to overcharge the nutrient levels in the tank. Also, you might want to remove those lights from the fishtank. You are going to just grow algae down there. The fish wont need it and you should save the nutrients for the desired plants.
