I find it funny that people who comment the LHC are usually religious and think it will destroy the world. Aren't these the folks who should be saying 'Go ahead! you won't find anything because it was God all along!' not so sure about God then aren't they?

Before you started talking nonsense, you should have done your research. You need to understand that these collisions happen all the time on earth and in space, such as cosmic rays colliding with molecules in the atmosphere. The LHC is just a device that lets scientists study those collisions.

true, but some projects are worth investing in, because the benefits outweigh the cost. This is one. there are many better examples for ones that are not.
