Jackson Olin opened long before the civil right riots and Parker has has been there since the late 1800s. FYI, I went to school with Condoleezza Rice's cousin (even got some).

Yeah, the white schoold in Hoover, Mountain Brook, Pelham are integrated but yall what your own black organizations and institutions AND force yourselves on the white people. I remember a time when Ensley, Pratt City, Wylam, West End, Powderly, Bessemer,North B'ham, Norwood, etc, were nice, safe, communities.

Jackson-Olin opened in 1952 as Western Olin during the Civil Rights movement which was a process in place well before its popularity surfaced. I could care less about your sexual history. @MrTyroneshoelace First and foremost P.D. Jackson Olin was one of few high schools to be opened for blacks during the civil rights movement in Birmingham, AL. This school along with A.H. Parker High school has produced some prominent figures in all areas. Condoleezza Rice, Vonetta Flowers, Eddie Kendricks (lead of the Temptations) just to name a few. You comment comes off as ignorant. The Birmingham metro area has several integrated schools such as Hoover, Spain Park, Mountain Brook, Pelham, etc

JO has always been predominantly black. Your argument would have been valid if you said Huffman or Ensley these two high schools USED to be predominantly white.

The WHITE people of the communities took care of their properties and kept them up. When we moved out of Pratt, Ensley, etc and you people moved in, these neighborhoods were turned into crime infested ghettos.Now, white people can't even drive through these areas without racial slurs being shouted at them, much less move there.
