Amtrak train #316 W/ 2 PRIVATE CARS! Lee's Summit MO,

The guy in the back car threw me an Amtrak hat. If you listen closely and turn your volume up @ about 2:34 you can hear the Private Car blow it's whistle. Filmed 5/23/09

Yes all couplers on American trains are standard. Those cars can be hooked to frieght, coal, grain, intermodal or any train in the USA and some in Canada and Mexico.

2 Things:

1) Way to go on the Creative Charters catch! I had no idea they escaped from Houston again.

2) I believe I read 106 on the engine - unless the NEC screwed up #116's horn like it did #120's, it makes sense for it to be unusual NEC power to begin with.
