Toyota Corolla 2009 review

A complete overhaul means the 2009 Corolla has new sheetmetal and two new four-cylinder engines. Slightly larger than before with styling cribbed from the Camry, the Corolla still chases the mainstream and succeeds. More fun can be found in Honda or Mazda dealers, however.

Good things : More space, refinement, and standard features; new wind-blown shape.

Bad things : The Honda Civic and Mazda 3 are still more fun.,handling is not as great as Civic and Mazda 3,a little bit noisy.

corolla elerctric steering throws drivers into the next lane out of the blue, so I think Ill pass

The european corolla has disk brakes all round...

it looks more conservative then this, mine has a 1.6L engine with 124 bhp.

I'm not american, so this is adequate for me.

@macos10virus Why do you need 2? So when 1 is in the shop you can still be moving foreward and praying the brakes work?

@meattube4u33 really? iv got two and that never happened to me.......just returned from a 400km trip as a matter of fact :) ....... steering response is slow but not that bad.

@KPKonliner i live in panama and we wish taxis were cars like the new corollas.. most, if not all taxis are cars from the 90s and 2000-2002-ish ... that are almost wrecked up with 3 tones of paint, with pieces falling off and in some cases the engine belts make noise, no A/C.. no windows XD. OH! AND SOME HAVE FART CANNONS XD.. and the newer taxis are hyundai accents(before 2012 model), nissan sentra B13(which are still being made and sold here as new) and other crappy econoboxes

i looked at the 2010 corolla when buying my 2010 civic. the toyota just doesn't compare. it's obviously a cheap compact car, while the civic feels much larger and much more upscale.
