Tree climbing the Japanese way

Our Gero-city in the mountainous Hida region is endowed with lots of forests. We are planning to promote outdoor sport activities, including tree climbing. We are testing various techniques, many of which found on a catalogue for American arborists. But in Japan and especially in our area there are many ceder and cypress plantations so we also use traditional rope climbing methods for climbing straight branchless trees, used by local tree workers. Some people wished to stay high in a relaxed position, and one member "invented" a tree chair instead of a well known Tree Boat!

should have put a micropulley under the blakes hitch so when they step up on the acender then the knot would of been advanced for them and all they had to do was advance the acender

yep. That's the classic japanese way. I don't even know now a days styles though...LOL
