From the Learn to Draw animation tutorials, Don Bluth brings you: Monkey See Monkey Do. Peek over the shoulder of Don Bluth as he guides you through the steps of making memorable characters.

Don Bluth learned to draw by peeking over the shoulders of master animators, John Lounsbery, Frank Thomas, Milt Kahl, and many other gifted artists. Why reinvent the wheel? Learn the secrets that others possess, and build upon their knowledge.

  • Don Bluth, it would be a pleasure to meet you if ever i did!

  • This is absolute gold. Thank you Mr. Bluth. You've definitely helped me with my artwork.

  • Does Don Bluth hate Disney since he was a rival? He did start there.

  • @DonBluthProductions BBBBBBBUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I'm so happy for Don. Thank you Don for everything you've given us as both children and adults. Your memories will last forever. Through thick and thin :) My animation style is very simmilar to your own, then again, I've always loved your hard work.

  • @ImpmonX Yeah I just watched your Akira America that was pretty funny, that's defiantly an original comedy I like how instead of the mysterious Neo Tokyo there's Wallmart beside them.

  • @ImpmonX What brand is the pencil, are you an animator?

  • @Dalen77

I don't longer use traditional pencils, I use mechanical pencils instead, I use two separate mech pencils, one with 2H thickness and the other with 3B thickness.

With 2H I sketch and with 3B I detail, much like Mr. Bluth does in his videos ^_^

I recommend you to use mech pencils if you don't wanna break them all the time, :3

  • I freaking love traditional animation! It's still way more fun to watch than 3D Animation (In my opinion) Nothing beats the classics ;)
