gosh, the fluidity she has. such control, and feeling. it's amazing how she and other musicians can get up on stage in front of a lot people, many of whom are anal critics (yes YouTubers, i also mean you) and STILL become lost in the music.

Hill lives to play, She applies her soul to the drums. She has more heart than many other Pro's I have met yet she is modest. Once when she was at a party, the drummer in the band found out that she played. She did a bit and by accident put a stick through the top of the drum. They were so impressed by her musical talent they all cheered. Hilary started crying because she had busted the guys drum. The band said she could sit in with them anytime. She was 17. - SW.

those drummers are good, the thing that makes them GREAT is their placement....so since you're hung up on the old swing style you'd love vinnie colaiuta, steve gadd, dave weckl(of course the solo with all 3 of them too lol) this is jazz to the extreme /watch?v=uM5uSHnsOl0 ...and this is gadd showing how much placement can fool your internal clock /watch?v=qiJxFR4_VLo the best modern drummers to me are mark guiliana(you'd like his band heernt) zach hill, and morgan agren.

@whity72 i'm sorry but those drummers are a thing of the past....music evolves, back then it was about looking flashy, and nothing says flashy more like fast fucking hands.....buddy rich was the master of showing off, there is NO such thing as the best drummer in the world, only most preferred drummer....and sadly everybodies jumping onto the mainstream bandwaggon and so their musical opinions don't matter....they think blazing quads mean you're some type of prodigy, when THAT is what is simple!

@javieo, not ONE single entertaining element I see in this solo. Nothing I haven´t ever heard before. This is easy drumming, we use such as a warm-up. I see no challenge or are you deaf? These modern LOSERS should watch Buddy Rich, Lionel Hampton, Charly Antolini and other world masters to get an idea how to enthuse the audience. Others should stay in their cellar and practice and spend many litres of sweat before they bore the audience to death!

@javieo drums arent about giving a fucken what people think, thats prolly why. when i go to guitar center and rip i could care less if everyone there think i suck. and thats exactly it, you get lost in the music. everything else get drowned out.
