well everything evolves as the world globalizes. i agree that Dai is slower in movements, but even Han dance was not as technically advance as it is now. i just think of it as dance in general is advancing forward with moves and all, but still keeping some tradition in the dances. =)

Not at all. The original Dai dance has elaborate wings attached to the dancer, and there is not much slow or graceful to it. This is a Han revision to what Hans think the dance should be. It is Dai in name only.

You guys, this is modernized Dai dance. The style of the movements, costumes, and even the music are traditionally Dai, not to be confused with Hmong btw. This is one of the most beautifully orchestrated Dai dance I have ever seen!
