I respectfully bow to the god of saber creators. That is the finest example of hand crafted art, attention to detail i've ever seen. And the creation and execution of the spring loaded/locking crystal chamber just blows my mind. I wish i could think like that.... simply amazing.

Small question, when you turn the bottom of the hilt is it a spring action that moves the handle up to expose the crystal chamber, or did you do some sleight of hand to move it up yourself?
Furthermore, when you moved it down why did you not need to turn it to lock it?

@RSukato It is spring loaded. There's a spring in the grooved section pushing against the front, with rods going through the rear handle to the pommel end. When the pommel is twisted, it unlocks those rods, and lets the spring push the chamber open. More details on my site, plus complete build log at slothfurnace main site. Google slothfurnace.
