How wonderful to hear these two greats, Maupin and Lateef, together.
I second what somebody said about Penumbra; a brilliant record.

Bennie Maupin is still underrated! His bass clarinet solo here is a gem! Listen to his work with Lee Morgan Live At The Lighthouse!
Most people only know him in the Herbie-Hancock-regions.

Another great document. The darkness adds a dreamy quality to the already mysterious music.
