  • christianity is not oppression. the church is oppression. organized religion is the problem, not faith. i thought the same way for most of my life, but realized the error in that a few months ago.

  • exploited, germs, circle jerks, the clash, bad brains, minor threat,There are alot of good old punk bands out there. What they all have in common is not caring what anyone eles thinks. They believe what they believe end of story.

  • growing up i thought i was going to die being the only christian punk out there i guess im wrong! its still funny too see how so many punks talk about respecting others faith and you dont bother me i dont bother you kind of mentality but in the end most of my friends are atheist and some are even muslims and i respect them all and they respect me! its sad to see others dont have the same way of thinking! its alright tho! not everyone is the same! i cant hate god for saving my life!!

  • And that's your opinion, which you are totally entitled to.

  • I thought punks were supposed to be intelligent that is all, belief in some 2000yr old soap opera strikes me as pretty dumb

  • Even if that were true, it still doesn't change the fact that you contradicted yourself by not being tolerant of their faith. If you we're actually in the punk scene for "freedom" you wouldn't care what people believe as long as it's not hurting you.

  • people who believe in any god are very fucking deluded

  • It's their "freedom" to believe what they want to believe. If you really believed your own logic you would have thought about that. Either way, they're not Stryper, they're not going to throw Bibles at you.

  • no, that's not what I'm saying.

  • So what your saying is anyone can be free as long as they agree with some sort of punk rock 'orthodoxy'? Hmmm... sounds fairly conformist to me.
