  • i just started using retin a and doxy a couple weeks ago and my skin is still peeling, and also i get so sick to my stomach every time i take the doxy, any tips?

  • @BrookBrookBrooklynn sick to your stomach -> this only happens to me if i take the doxy on an empty stomach. you are supposed to take it after a full/proper meal. also, you should follow the exact dosage that your derm instructed you to take, i hope you're not upping your own dosage!

  • @bubblingbolster no I am taking 100mg 2 times a day as directed. I wasn't sure whether or not to take it with food because I keep getting mixed answers on whether or not the doxy will be as affected with food or not. I am going to email my derm today though to find out for sure. But looking at you skin it looks like yours is working even though you are taking it with food. thanks! how long did peeling last for you though with retin a??

  • @BrookBrookBrooklynn oh okay that's good! you DEFINITELY have to take it with food, my derm instructed me to do so. never felt sick to the stomach when i took it after food. once i decided to experiment and take it on an empty stomach. once i swallowed it i immediately felt like puking and i had to sleep the quesiness away. definitely take it after food. about the peeling, it was so long ago so i forgot. maybe you might wanna see the old videos to see if i said anything?

  • Do you think changing to 0.05% or 0.01% after a week or two would've gotten quicker results? Currently im on 0.025% day 6 and breaking out like mad, skin is hurting so much, extremely painful trying to eat food. Was thinking once my skin stops hurting to change to a higher percentage and hope it does the job faster? thoughts?

  • @pietime123123 honestly have no clue....if i were you i'd just stick to 0.025. good things are worth the wait! don't try to speed up your results if you have no idea what would happen to your skin! ultimately it's your decision..

  • @rkddbstlr Try something with 1% hydrocortisone which you should be able to buy over the counter- atleast in the uk.

  • i have bad acne half of my life too, used retin A and suffered 3 sucky breakouts... but my skin has only a couple of pimples only, from a whole face of huge red pimples.

  • All you see now is beauty marks <3

  • wow that sure is a big change . you look great!
