Gran Turismo 5 Endurance GT5 Autopilot Glitch

Found a glitch in Gran Turismo 5 that will allow your car to drive itself in the endurance races. I did it somewhat by accident, just messing around not really knowing what would happen. Once the race ends, I will upload another video of me actually performing it, as long as GT5 keeps the whole replay(its a 4 hour race, not sure if it keeps a replay of all 4 hours).

You perform the glitch by only barely entering the pits and entering them too fast. You will drive up to the pits, but not in pit lane. Your driver will then drive forward and reverse into the wall next to the pits. Another car came back by me and hit me past them. At that point the car drove(and is still driving) itself. I thought it might drive right back into the pit lane, but instead it is just turning the laps for me.

After many trolls/flames, one much nicer youtuber had this glitch happen to them and has posted a video as well. In his video you can see the part where the car drives into the wall repeatedly before being hit past it. I done that in a F1 run straight through the pits and out the other side and it went into auto pilot i was like help ! XD

This happened to me like 3 months ago, i quit the race because my tires were completly worn out and my fuel was almost gone, then there was an update that said that it had fixed this problem, so i decide to try it again, so i drive for an hour and a half suspend the race, next day I resume the race and my guy is driving by himself again:(

i just returned to my tsukuba endurance race having completed 7 hours of the 9,

i am using the formula gt which has lapped the other cars 101 times,

tyres completely shot so my car is spinning out on every corner,

fuel almost gone...WAHHHH!!!,

101 laps ahead with just over an hour & a half to go,

its gonna be tight but i could still get p1,

i'll post soon with the result, hmm...

i suspened game went for dinner.came back resumed game now car is on auto piloit

I just had this happen on the 9 hour endurance race (same track). Went into the pits after 2 hours and suspended the race but when I came back, the car just started driving itself. 1st I though "great!" but I'm now low on gas and the "ghost driver" won't pit.

I had that happen to me once on the Superspeedway-Daytona by going into the pitlane backwards.

@rplfreak End the race whithout saving, and restart the same session again. Try to steer to the right just before you see your car drive. It seems like you can control your car for just a second.

well at least your AI is overtaking the other cars :D that's good enough....and you don't even have to do anything.....but yeah, don't run out of fuel
