I feel as though they simply ran out of steam with Shane, just as she was beginning to evolve into someone with substance they put her back to square one, completely undermining her soul-searching and progression into adulthood which was unceremoniously ignored as if it had never happened which I find very disappointing. I am quite relieved that the show is ending soon as it has suffered from writers fatigue and is becoming farcical with weak, predictable story lines and lack of substance.

theres nothing that the media wont patronise as long as its profitable, so i rather stay in the shadow than be under this reflectors like an entertainer just beaacuse of my gayness, i dont think this show means anything in the run to break the gay paradigms

Yeah, that red blouse of Bette's was ugly! But I carried on, suffered through it ...cus we all know that La Beals can't keep her beautiful (yet slightly scrunched out at the bottom -well spotted,by the way) breasts in black bra combo to herself for two scenes in a row. Long live the Beals' Breast shots!

I understand your point but the creator of the L word is a middle class, wealthy lesbian who has based her characters on the people she knows from West Hollywood. She probably knows very little about 'ordinary working class lesbians' and had she based the L word on such women it would have been a patronising, ill conceived social stereotype and disastrous, at least she's sticking with familiar territory...let's face it - her world isn't real, based on artifice, vanity, wealth and success.

Why do all shows on TV have to be about rich people? What is with this rich lesbian shit? Is this supposed to make it seem more glamorous? It's okay to be gay (as long as you are hot and wealthy). I would love to see a show about working class lesbians...YAH! That would rock. Let's keep it real people!!!!

Neomaxtwins. I have what is called a gap between my teeth. I never felt like getting braces.Some people have gaps in their teeth. Some people have gaps in their personalities.
