@CodeOrDie Absolutely!

Wow this just hurts my ears to listen to, and an insult to the C64 version's music.

@cannyfocus "nothing in the world can beat the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) version of this game" except for the Sharp X68000 version of the game which was closer to the arcade original than even the Mega Drive version. :)

@cannyfocus I have to say I agree with your comment. The Sega Genesis/Megadrive music for this game was much better which I find surprising having watched this video. The Amiga had amazing sound capabilities so I can't see why this is the case. The 2nd level with the bouncing turtles sounds all messed up here, I know it is probably intentional but it just doesn't do it for me. Nor is the music for the first end of level boss with the decapped head. Not a great port which is really sad.

I had this on the ST and found it incredibly unforgiving.

Let stay a bit more realistic, Tim Follin's tracks may sound indeed very cool but nothing in the world can beat the Sega Genesis (Mega Drive) version of this game even it's musictracks programmed in there. In the Sega Mega Drive version everything fits toghether as a whole.. / one of the best jump 'n' runs ever, though it was one of the very first games on the M.D. system, it was already an all time perfect master-piece :).

Another dire US Gold conversion and a blatant ST port-over, which was a sign of the times back then. They didn't even bother to spruce up the bland graphics from their ST origins. The difference between this and the arcade machine is night and day. It may resemble GNG and bear the same name but that's about all. Apart from the music, no effort was made with this and considering the Amiga's capabilities, GNG was a wasted opportunity. The industry gave Amiga owners crap and got away with murder.

@christo930 Agreed, it took years of bitter complaining by Amiga users (and the ST's demise) before the software houses stopped making ST port-over's and finally produced genuine Amiga versions. I remember disgruntled people writing to magazines like CU Amiga and the journalists fobbing them off as whingers.

I dislike this video because the music is out of tune.

@CodeOrDie I confirm: the right audio channel is missing ;)

This soundtrack wouldn't have happened to be composed by Tim Follin, would it?
