Stromboli does have sauce. Well, at least where I come from it does. It's also not rolled up like a jelly roll.

Calzone calls for ricotta and Stromboli does NOT .. There is a huge diffence between the two, anyone Italian can tell you that! The crust is even different, therefore it is totally different and not the same, Stromboli is generally seen in the South (Stromboli + Sicilia, even Napoli, but their stromboli is gross)
