50 Cent's Home Burns Down

In Breaking News today a home belonging to Queens Rapper 50 Cent burned to the ground. The Dix Hill, New York home has been the subject of an ongoing legal dispute between the rapper, real name Curtis Jackson and his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tompkins. The home had been occupied by ms Tompkins and the rappers son Marquis Jackson. Shaniqua Tompkins had been suing 50 Cent for breech of contract after she alleges that the rapper placed the home under his name after agreeing to purchase the home for her and the couple's son. At press time today arson investigators were on the scene, but hadn't yet commented. However Dix Hill Fire Chief "Larry Feld was quoted as saying "I would say there is a strong -- a strong, strong -- possibility that it is suspicious". MS. Tompkins was set to vacate the property via court order in just one more day. MS. Tompkins attorney Paul Katsandonis was contacted early this morning but claimed that he had not heard about the fire and wouldn't comment on whether or not his client was still living at the residence. He also would not offer any comment as to the whereabouts about MS Tompkins or her son. There were however six people present at the home and all six were transported to nearby Huntington hospital. The blaze was so large that sections of Route 231 at Vanderbilt Parkway had to be closed. The 2.4 million dollar 6 bedroom, 5 bath home sat on an acre and included a swimming pool. It's not clear whether or not neighboring homes were damaged in the fire, but one neighbor commented, "The fire was huge, I mean huge," and claims to have watched the home burn down to the ground."
