I was diagnosed with an immature teratoma, also known as Malignant Ovarian Germ Cell Tumor (MOGCT) in December 2010. It is a rare type of ovarian cancer which has been surgically removed. I have to take a chemotherapy regimen called bleomycin, etoposide and cisplatin (BEP) to kill remaining cancer cells. This is a video blog of my experiences.

  • Hi guys, it's Norva here look out for pt 5 of my cancer diary next month, I have so much exciting stuff to share with everyone about where I am just 6 months after coming out of hospital. Look out you will be amazed. God is great...

  • Actually, it started with me going to the toilet to urinate very frequently but only passing very little urine. I think that was caused by the tumor pushing on my bladder. That went on for 3wks then my abdomen became constantly painful. Next I felt a mass in my lower abdomen and it was growing really quickly so much so that at least every 2dys I could feel the difference. My smear test was normal and my periods were regular throughout until 6wks into my chemo treatment (which was expected).

  • What were you early signs of this cancer? Were you periods irregular, did you have a small lump in your lower abdominal?
