This is a tragedy. There is no good reason RTD's Airport train and the Gold line couldn't use this tunnel and the current platforms. Obviously they are in perfectly good shape. Instead they want to waste money to rip it all out and replace it with an ugly box, that will never fit in with the historic character of the station. It's no wonder that RTD is in its current financial state.
