Key Club experiment goes into space

Key Clubbers (http://www.keyclub.org/home.aspx) from Henry E. Lackey High School won the SSEP competition to send a science experiment into space on the last mission of the space shuttle Atlantis. Club members along with other students at Lackey High School designed an experiment to compare the germination of arabidopsis thaliana, a small flowering plant in the mustard family, in space to its germination on Earth. After winning the competition, students were able to travel to Florida to see the launch first hand. This is their story.
