Uruguay Travel: An Evening in Montevideo

On November 11, 2011, I took the Buquebus ferry from Buenos Aires (Argentina) to Colonia del Sacramento (Uruguay) and from there I took a bus to Montevideo. Finally by 4:30 pm I arrived in the capital of Uruguay. I took a taxi to the apartment where I was staying with 2 young ladies and went out to explore the city in the evening. After getting off the bus on the Plaza Independencia I walked south to the Rambla Francia to take in a beautiful west-facing sunset. Then I took a walk on the Avenida 18 de Julio and found a restaurant for dinner. While I was eating I witnessed a 4:0 victory of the Uruguayan soccer team over Chile -- people went absolutely nuts!
