Gin Martini Designs - Hot Pink Tutu

This is a Quick Video i made Using my new computer and my awesome Threadbanger sewing machine. DIY for LIFE!

Instructions:

I start with a Roll of hot pink tulle, 6" X 25 Yards. They are Usually found in the wedding section of craft stores.
The only Tulle That i've found to glow in the black light are hot pink and Lime green.

I also use 3" wide black stretch lace

I cut the lace to my waist size.

I start by hand gathering the tulle to the edge of the black lace.
Once the tulle is all gathered up, I flip the lace over and stitch it down flat.

I hope this helps, I am not too good with instructions!

okay, when u say " 3" wide black stretch elastic" then "cut the lace to my waist size", are the "elastic" and "lace" the same thing?

@tnt1225 Yes! They are the same thing, Sometimes i use plain black elastic instead of lace. I tricked myself! Thank you for pointing that out. <3

@ginsgloves okay ur welcome. i have another question though. :) how is it that u sew the tulle right onto the elastic? don't u have to stretch it out when u sew it? did u do that? if not, how does it stretch after u sew it? sorry so many questions, i just want to try this and i want to be sure of how to do it. :)

@tnt1225 I use a Zig Zag Stitch when I ruffle the tulle onto the Lace elastic. That way when you go to stretch it, to put it on, the stitch stretches with the elastic and doesn't rip. I hope this all helps, good luck with your tutu! look forward to hearing how it went and seeing pics!! <3
