My father, rest his soul, was like you folks but a little before your time. He was a lifelong Republican and after realizing that Reagan lied to him and the American people, he remained registered Republican and voted in the primaries, but voted for Democrats for President. I think it's better to vote the person than the party. I am Democrat but I do vote for Republicans when they are qualified (hasn't been for president ever, though).

Actually the last movie star president was Ronald Reagan (R).

I'm not star-struck by him, I'm impressed by him. His campaign hasn't made this much progress because of one man, even if his name is strange and his skin is dark. It's come this far because of a message that honest, smart, hard-working Americans can identify with and get behind.

I respect John McCain and all he's done for our country. But he doesn't represent my interests. So stop touting propaganda and think for yourself.
