Pat O'Brien from Cannibal Corpse plays baritone guitar tunings and uses a 72 gauge for the low E (to tune down to Bb or lower). So to answer your question, yes 52 gauge on a floyd is fine. Just make sure it's set up correctly.

@sujaybarad take the back plate off the guitar, the one where the springs are located. Look to see if a anti trem device was installed, like a tremol-no.
