  • What's the meaning of the number after the name in acapella groups? (e.g. Kenji Brantley '06) Is it possible to do this kind of arrangement with average people who just knows how to sing? Thanks!

  • @aztheg2nd The number represents the year they graduated/left the group after 4 years... The Clefs will tell you they can teach someone to sing their a capella style, and that you don't HAVE to be a super singer, but my opinion is that you need to be above average for this caliber of group. JMHO - don't know if they would agree with that.

  • @clefhangerfan oh i see, but how about those a capella groups that have '10, '12 after their names?

Thank you for the info sir..

  • @aztheg2nd For someone currently in a group, it represents their expected year of graduation - '10=2010, etc... For example, Freshmen in the Clefs this year would probably put '13 after their name because they expect to graduate in 2013...

  • what are all the songs that this guy sings? i've looked at all of them and only found king of wishful thinking, dreaming with a broken heart, boston, thanks for the memories, and everything. are there any more?

  • Some more from Steve McQuaid on this channel are Heat Of The Moment, Aerials, Boondocks - and then several supporting/backup vocals on songs like My Love, Here And Now, Ride Wit Me, Put On/Got Money, etc.

  • Really enjoyed this. Probably my favorite McQuaid solo. One of Phil Collins' best vocal assets is his incredible clarity. Steve really is able to replicate that, with a bit of his own twist.

  • sounds a lot like Phil Collins!! (is that who did the original? cant remember)

  • @clefhangerfan ok thank you for the info.. =) do acapella groups follow some kind of piece of paper or just follow and assign tones to each other?
