This video is too funny! hung up the phone as soon as it rang, and the twisted hair a week and thought it was yesterday! XD Too Funny! I was wondering if I could ask a question, my locks are new and they won't stay twisted after moments of them being twisted and I have course thick hair (I'm a guy by the way) and I wanted to know how to get my hair to stay twisted and I used mango and lime Jamaican gel.

@laquan76667 i kno alot of ppl who do that an their locs r jus fine. but u can use organic lock & twist gel (its in a purple an white container) or jamaican mango & lime loc gel
How long did you wait to wash ur hair when you first started with the comb coils and how often there after? Did your twist not unravel? I just started and I was told not to wash my hair until it locks. I started with the comb twist! Thanks!

wait like 4 weeks before the initial wash, then wash at least once a month after. the loctician i went to told me 2 wait a long time too...and i still regret that i listened. washing your hair is very good and healthy, and in fact will help it to lock quicker. if ur uneasy, you can place a stocking cap on your head and wash it that way. only a clarifying shampoo (dr bronners is best)...no conditioner. our hair loves water...and water is very nourishing for it...so don't deprive your hair!

alright so i twisted my hair my own self and it seems pretty decent. and i used just regular gel and grease , is that bad ?

i would stay away from the grease and stick to the gel...grease is a little heavy and might cause build up over time. use a squirt bottle to grease your scalp with olive oil or jojoba oil...or add a little to your gel.

So cute... I have much to learn... this is my 2nd day into my loc journey and I'm so excited. Your hair mimics how I'd love for my locs to turn out. Thanks for the post sis!
