I had no idea China was so polluted? Why? I know in for example Turkey there is a lot of air pollution, They heat water in buildings for heat and showers by way of coal into an oven that heats the water through out the entire apartment buildings. This makes the air look as though there is a fire outside. So much smoke and dust settles. Some areas have solar heating. Mankind pollutes the world.

I think people just want something to moan at. Yeah funny its so polluted these days, people are living longer than ever. Too long in fact. People are just waiting around in old age to die. Try walking in the smogs of 18 century london, where a wall falling down could kill you at any time, where it was not unusual to see dead bodies in the street. Atom bombs are the only thing that prevents the carnage of 1914-18. How about mentioning good things we are doing.
