Throughout the 1970s, musical stars such as Paul Simon, Rod Stewart and the Staples Singers came to Muscle Shoals, Alabama, to record their hits.

In this clip, Roger Hawkins and David Hood of the famed Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section describe how they were able to adapt their sound so quickly.
