yes but the recording of the cantatas took time and the quality of the boy singers changed. The boy in this recording it not that bad compared to some others but not as good the best. I'd say he performs acceptably and keeps the tension. The horn players are less forgivable and especially Harnoncourt for keeping the recording. Probably they did their best with a tight recording schedule. I'd give this recording a C-.

Sometimes I really don't know what to think about the boy (alto) Harnoncourt uses... between him and the horns, both alternatively out of tune, and even taking into account this "pioneer recording", the difficulty in training boy sopranos and altos, in playing natural horns, etc...
