Everytime I see the 20th Century Fox logo and it's music, no matter what movie it is, I'd remember Star Wars. Watched it when I was 5 in 1977 and I was jumping on my seat during the final battle.
The magic hasn't diminished for me, but unfortunately, after so many space movies that used Star Wars' template, it seems somewhat watered down for the newer generations.

I wish I could have lived to see this during its initial release so I could have been amazed at the difference between this masterpiece and "the usual shit". The special effects were/and currently are mind blowing for its time.

I remember sitting in the theatre the first week it came out, and being blown away by that ship that didn't seem to end. It was the size of the universe, and it just kept going and going. Massive!!!!!
