Amazing animation VFX Demo Realistic CGi Shark & Turtles HD

www.mckeewildthings.com Watch at Full Screen 720p if possible. These are a small sample of visual effects I supervised with colleague Alister Ferguson through our Wildthings vfx enterprise for the feature release wildlife documentary "Turtle the incredible journey"
Alister and I created our shots exclusively on Apple Computers. Macbook pros and macpros
We supervised all cgi VFX for this show. We created a mix of real composited footage and 3D animated creatures in real environments, and all CGi environments.
Numerous shots have real turtles and CGI turtles side by side. We also composited together groups of creatures shot in completely separate locations.
The film has been theatrically released and projected at documentary film festivals around the world. Not a single wildlife zoologist realised they were often watching cgi animation for a huge number of shots

Nope. Check the bottom right hand corner of the vid.

It describes which bits were vfx and the type of vfx

We added cgi turtles and sharks to background plates filmed at sea, or just created some shots from scratch.

Some shots are composites of real sea creatures added to shots of other animals or locations they were never at.

@KatideChaos takes along time to make.. these are simple models but rendering the skin and lighting the scene properly are key. autodesk maya is my favourite program for animation, zbrush too..
