@xijack owh, yet another one of these cheap-shots playing the fucking "oh they ripped off the bluesmen!" card,.. havent you got anything better in your locker mate?!... if you knew anything about it you would know that every fucking band from that generation were covering blues tracks to start off with, the stones, the who, deep purple, free etc.. also,.. no music is fucking pure,.. there always has to be that prior influence,..no band is clean from that shit,.. you complete bellend.

@McTheQuickness What you mean their live shows werent nearly as good? are you fucking kidding me? Their live shows were the cherry on the top! They would take their songs into places you could never imagine them going to on the records, their fluidity and that ledgendary "fifth element" of which they assumed on stage is present in practically every live recording you listen to,.. they had a live dynamic which couldnt be matched by the likes of the Who or otherwise,..

@TomLikesGuitar Well as a Zeppelin fanatic myself, i can honestly say that is one of the most ill-informed and retarded statements ive ever heard. the who didnt "suck" live... they had a different playing style to zeppelin, different tunes, if everyone tried to emulate zeppelin and not create a sound of their own it would be bollocks really wouldnt it? The who are brilliant, i prefer zep but i have no doubt that the who were fucking brilliant and original on stage, tosser.

Jimmy page puts more emotion in his live solos than anything I can compare it to.
