Thermalright Archon CPU Cooler Unboxing and Product Overview

Key Features:
Armor style heatsink fin array, with mirrored copper base, elevates heatsinks overall quality.

Large heatsink fin array provides dissipating area of up to 150*125mm, making complete use of the airflow, with 140mm or 120mm fan.

With the max width of 55mm, tall memory heat spreaders are avoided.

Six sintered heatpipe design, all heatpipes are nickel plated, to slow the oxidation deterioration to the heatpipe, to ensure longer usage and performance of the heatsink for the CPU.

Supports Multiple-Platforms, and can be used on Socket 1366/1156/775 Platform, and AM2/AM3 Socket. For Intel sockets pressure is adjustable (40~70 lbs.)

Includes one Thermalright TY-140 PWM fan, Ultra low noise at 21 dBA at max rpm (50cm testing distance)

Fan-clips are compatible with both 140mm and 120mm fan.

The Archon package includes a tube of CF III Thermal paste, to provide the best combination for use with Archon.

  • I have a very unorthodox question about this heat sink. I want to make a totally new kind of heater and want to use this as my heat exchanger. How much heat can this cooler take. I need to run it at 100 to 600 degrees C. Is that possible with this cooler?

  • @hydrophoenixx Kinda hard to answer I do not think the fluid in the heatpipes would withstand those temps. It might evaporate and worsen cooling. I think this cooler has dissipate around 150w or so or heat. Highest I ever saw was around 100-110c under load on a CPU.

  • it fits in Haf 932 case?

  • @migoffspring Yes it will fit that case and most full towers on the market.

  • i like thermalright a lot! those fan clips do work but in my case they didn't allow me to put on my side panel because the clips add about 1/4" extension

but thats with the spitfire this cpu sink is a completely different matter, :) nice job keep the reviews going!

  • @loudpanzer Thanks for comment and I agree with you on the extra space taken up by clips.

  • Thanks for great video! It would be nice if you also include cable length info into fan section. Cause my mobo has one 4-pin connector near CPU cooler and another almost at chipset.

  • it fits in NZXT m59 mid tower ?

  • When did this heatsink come out? I haven't seen this one yet and where can i buy it?

  • Mine is Twin fans with cooler, is very good performance, Was 65c but Now down to 31c !! for gaming computer. Both Fans are 3,000 RPM
